Hunt`s Battlefield Fries & Cafe` in Gettysburg

Excellent cheesesteak sandwich and fries. The medium fries can feed two easily. Well priced and worth the trip.

OMG tell you what this been the second time I have ate there and I'm telling you this place is phenomenal you have to stop and get a burger and fries their buckets are fries or huge and is worth money and the waitress is awesome and the cook is phenomenal if you want good food to stop in there you guys in Gettysburg we took a nice walk and we found this place there so much to see I all seen all the hats from all the different ships they're not expensive so go in there check out what they have and look at all the movie stars and their famous people on their walls that have been there to eat

Hunt's has the best fries and their cheese steaks are to die for. The lemonade is better than the orangeade though.

This place is a small gem, and that's literally! Don't judge the place by it's size and appearance, however. When you first walk in, it's like part convenience store, part ice cream shop, part restaurant. Space is very limited, but if there's a wait, it's definitely worth it to try one of their beef cheese steak sandwiches. The staff is very friendly and helpful, service is pretty quick once you're seated, and the food is delicious! Our waitstaff warned us about the size of the fries and a medium is way more than enough to share among three people. But the beef cheese steak is what we all wanted and we were not disappointed. The warm buns were filled with meaty cheesey goodness. It was so full of flavor and so filling and went perfectly with their freshly cut and fried fries. Definitely come by and give them a try if you're looking for a good cheese steak in the area.

Well, I guess if you have fries in your name, you better do them well; and they do! The fries are arguably the best anywhere. I had a cheeseburger which was excellent and the rest of our party had other items from their menu that looked equally delicious. The only knock would be the lack of space, but if I had to, I'd eat in my car...

It was exspencive and the food was horrible i advise you to save your on somthing bettet because anythings better than that place

Food was good, prices were abit high but its a nice little joint with good burgers and fries as the name suggests. The portion sizes are quite large as well. Check it out, its a good stop and right by the Battle field.

We were sitting at a table and a very rude employee came to our table and told us that the table was for someone else my mom said the lady didn't tell me that when she sat me down. Then the lady proceeded to tell us in a very nasty tone that is why we have a sign to wait to be seated my mom said yes I know. Then the lady said well the people now have to get there food to go because of you. She kept reprimanding us as she placed menus on the table. I stopped her and told her we would not be eating here and that she was very rude.

Delicious food! Got grilled ham n cheese sandwich on pretzel roll and it was so incredible. My b.f got bacon chzburger and his was good too. Sweet waitress and cute atmosphere inside and a couple tables outside too. Great spot for lunch.

This food is so good we make the trip into town each week. My parents drive almost 2 hours at least every other week. Nothing else in the county can compare. Hunt's (Scott) what you have is golden. Thanks for putting in all the hard work you and your team do to make it happen.

My family and I have been to Gettysburg quite a few times in the last year. Every time we go, we always stop at Hunt's, whether it's lunch, breakfast or just popping in for a drink. The food is fantastic, the service is so friendly and we would highly recommend it to someone going to Gettysburg for the first time. Keep up the good work!!!

This place is Amazing!!! Great food that has loads of Flavor. Probably the best chicken salad I've ever had and fresh squeezed lemonade.

It is a small place, but OMG is a really good place to eat. The have a variety of sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs and the fries tgat are delicious. They also serve ice cream and it is placed in a very historical location. If you have the opportunity to visit, don't hesitate.

I have been here a few times, and have never regretted it! They have always been kind to us, and the food quality is great. One of my favorite things to get there is their bucket of fries, which I definitely recommend! Come here for great service and a great bite to eat!

Great place to eat! The fries are the best around. The chili is homemade and is one of the best I've had- it makes a great chili cheese dog! The staff is friendly. This is a great place for a good, quick meal.

We've been here twice and about a year or so apart. The food quality was the same.....awesome. The fries are great, as good or better then anywhere I've had fresh cut fries. Had the cheeseburger sub and it was delicious. Service was polite and quick. Will go back again and again.

Just about every time we go to Gettysburg, we eat here. Can not beat their hamburgers and cheeseburgers. My favorite is the cheese steak. I can not find a place that does a better cheese steak. The place is small, but the food is great.

Just stopped in to get sandwiches for my family I on the way home. The food was top notch, a chicken cheese steak, 2 grilled cheese and a kids chicken fingers. But the real stars, the fresh squeezed lemonade and orangeade. They are the the best in town and IV tried everywhere. This has definitely just become a regular for my family and I.

This place is not what you expect when you walk through the front door, trust me. It's a great little place. Have the cheese steak.... No matter how you like it, it will be excellent. We liked it so much we came back the next day with friends! Don't forget to get some fries and if you get the large, you will have enough for everyone at the table PLUS leftovers!

Seriously the best cheesesteak I've ever had and at such a fair price. The stores really cool too. Owner has a bunch of signed headshots of celebrities and its just a really cool aesthetic. The staff are nice as hell too. Great eats!

The food was excellent! The best cheesesteak I have had outside of Philly in awhile.The dining area is very small. We were forced to sit outside and told we would be moved inside once a spot opened up. The table was never given to us. The outsiders table was too small for the four of us. As a result a sandwich was dropped.The women's bathroom was out of toilet paper.They were understaffed for the holiday. There was only one server on. In the tone I was sitting there I watch about 50 people walk in and right back out.

What a gem! Different looking from the outside, decorations are "busy" to say the least, but what a GREAT food experience for something quick, delicious, and priced right. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. It wasn't too busy when we went in (12:30-ish on a Tuesday) but even still, the food was cooked and served so fast, we were blown away. Cheesesteak was spot on and the fries are great (the smallest order was enough to split between the two of us). If you want something quick, easy, good, and pleasant, THIS is the place.

Had the buffalo beef cheesesteak and onion rings. Both were EXCELLENT. Service was also very welcoming and friendly. Inside decor is like an old general store, which was neat. Will definitely come back.

Visited Gettysburg. Was looking for a more low key, more intimate place to eat. This delivered. Tons of paraphernalia on the walls. Great food, not fancy, just some good old greasy burgers and subs done well. Will definitely go back on our next stop in Gettysburg.
